Who the heck is leading this team?
Team Captain Kenzi ([email protected]) sparked this wild idea three years ago, igniting a flame that has since grown to 100+ swimming enthusiasts. Will she attend every practice? Absolutely. Will she stand as your loudest cheerleader? Without a doubt. Will she lead fearlessly? You can count on it. Does she know how to breaststroke? Absolutely not.
Enter Andrea, the consummate professional. Her excel spreadsheet skills are unmatched, setting her apart from the rest. A decent swimmer herself, she won't hesitate to point out if you're in the wrong lane. As the swim coach at Maynard Jackson High School, she's a strategic genius, always finding ways to optimize our team's performance in every meet. But remember: if you commit to a relay, you better be prepared to follow through!
Coach Nils is in his third year leading the Glenwood Park Adult Swim Team as head coach. Let us share a bit about him to assure you he's the real deal! Nils just completed his third NCAA D1 swim season with Georgia Tech as a 4 IM specialist. Nils chose Tech for its academic prestige, culture of excellence within the team and school, and outstanding coaching staff. Before joining the team at Tech, Nils Bogner had a standout career at Eastside H.S., where he competed for four seasons and earned recognition as an All-State Swimmer. His personal interests include basketball. Nils comes from a swimming family of 5 siblings. His older sister swam for Illinois. It's become a sideline for our team to cheer on Nils's younger sister Lila, ranked one of the top recruits in the class of 2025. We can't wait to cheer Lila on at NCAA finals here in Atlanta in March 2026!
