Hello Piranhas!

Thanks everyone for completing our survey! We noticed some swimmers wanted more details about meets. In place of our normal Sunday sprints, the second half of practice next Sunday June 18th will be a mock meet with relays and 25's. We also added optional extra credit reading I'm calling Swim Meet 102. It's totally skippable if you're fine showing up and following along, but if you'd rather know more Swim Meet 102 goes deeper into swim meet navigation for those who didn't do summer swim. How to: read a heat sheet, write EHLs, warmup, line up, start and exit. I also included what I'm calling my Rick Steves section. It's an overview of rules that lead to disqualifications in other leagues. Although Grown Up Swimming removes the stress of DQ's, knowing swim customs will help you travel like a local at our swim meets. It's also a good update for those of us who did do summer swim back in the '80s because several rules are way more relaxed now. (Back in my day we did real backstroke flipturns!)
